The Law Office of Stevaughn J. Bush, Esq. is a firm that concentrates on the legal needs of business owners and their families. Stevaughn specializes in Estate Planning, though he likes to use the phrase “Legacy Planning” to describe his practice because estate planning often brings up issues that affect your Legacy and Generational Wealth, such as family law, contracts, business, and real estate law, among others.
Stevaughn possesses wide-ranging legal expertise and has a strong background in entrepreneurship that serves him well in advising his clients on a number of complex legal issues. Stevaughn is admitted to the Washington D.C. and Maryland Bars. He received his law degree from Howard University School of Law in 2018 after obtaining a Bachelors Degree in Political Science with a minor in Philosophy from Baruch College in 2013.
As a product of Howard University, Stevaughn’s legal advocacy is deeply inspired by Civil Rights figures, such as Thurgood Marshall, Pauli Murray, and Charles Hamilton Houston. “I live by the motto, Each One, Teach One and I strive to do what I can to empower my clients” Stevaughn says.

Why Estate (Legacy) planning?
As a Black man, I understand what it means to move for your last name, not your first. I believe that estate planning—or Legacy Planning, as I like to call it—is important because things like Probate can significantly disrupt your family’s finances and Generational Wealth.
I pride myself on helping my clients create a plan that is specifically customized for their family’s needs.
What do you do for fun?
In addition to practicing law, I enjoy reading about History, watching Real Madrid CF, and spending quality time with family and friends.
Where are you from?
I grew up in Mount Vernon, New York (also known as the Money Earnin’ Vernon), which is immediately outside of New York City. When I attended Baruch College, I migrated to Harlem, USA. I loved the electricity of NYC so much and I’m proud to bring the same kind of energy with me to the DMV, which I now call my home.
